First and foremost thank you for taking the time to read the blog and embarking on this journey with us, we hope you enjoy. Approximately one year ago during lockdown, I was talking to my sister and out of nowhere I came up with the expression espresso with a D. I get what you might be thinking, that doesn't even make sense... well jokes on you because depresso is close enough. I am not sure why my brain went that route (probably because I was drinking more coffee than water) but it has stuck with me ever since. The fact that we are somehow back into lockdown a year later, I thought what better way to spend my time than starting a blog. If you couldn't tell from the name, this blog will mainly focus on espresso/coffee reviews for Toronto cafes, (because who doesn't love coffee), but It will also include some fashion outfit inspiration to bring an elevated look to casual style and it will also promote any other art venue that explores creativity. The first question you may have is where my espresso expertise come from to be able to be a trusted critic. Not to brag but I did spend a year as a barista in a coffee shop that not only did not make money, but actually ran a deficit. If you ever ordered a cappuccino or a latte from me, you got a cappalatte or latteccino because I could not make them different for the life of me. Anyways, all that is to say that you are in good hands :)

Bravissimo, I know Erik very well and will always remember how he used to make coffee for the whole house every morning before leaving for work. I live in Italy now with superb espresso everyday but who cares because there is one thing missing: Erik. Get out there and show us some places maestro lelievre.
